“Day 2”

Results:
Airborne forces succesfully parachuted into the area of Dilshad and we're able to destroy multiple SAM sites as well as destroying a company strength militia unit stationed there. Furthermore, coalition forces met an informant in Dilshad that has suggested that political prisoners are being held at a secret police headquarters in a palace southeast if I'timad.

Coalition air forces engaged in a aerial assault on the southern airfield and destroyed a significant portion of the enemy's interceptors and attack helicopters. During the strike, friendly aircraft severly damaged the southern airfield and it should be at least 24 hours before the southern airfield is capable of launching fixed wing aircraft.

In a seperate strike, coalition forces ambushed and destroyed a supply convoy carrying ammunition, rations, and aviation fuel to the southern airfield. It should severly hamper the enemy's ability conduct extended air operations and will reduce moral of the enemy soldiers stationed to the south.

“Day 3 - Partial”

Results:
The RNA launched a massive combined arms counter attack on Dilshad in an effort to destroy the airborne forces that had just captured it. Initial estimates place the enemy force at a reinforced infantry company. The enemy air support was shot down but at the cost of several British and American aircraft. The airborne forces took immense casualties and are now combat ineffective until relieved and can rest for some time. The initial casualty estimates are 95% casualty rates and 70% KIA rates. Despite the best efforts of the RNA, the British held the city after the fiercest fighting so far in the campaign. If the enemy is able to bring similar indirect fire suppot to bear again, coalition forces may take similar casualty rates.

Enemy Loses:
~ 200 infantry (RNA)
~ 2 HINDs (RNA)

Friendly Losses:
2 Apaches (6thAB & 3rdID)

British Infantry Platoon (-)
FORECON team (-)

Notes:
6thAB Infantry Platoon and 15thMEU FORECON must be relieved from Dilshad by end of Day 4.
6thAB Infantry Platoon and 15thMEU FORECON are out of action until Day 5

“Day 3”

The initial casualty estimates are 95% casualty rates and 55% KIA rates. Despite the best efforts of the RNA, the British held the city after the fiercest fighting so far in the campaign.

The fields east of Dilshad were completly destroyed by the fighting, enemy indirect fire, and friendly close air support. Nearly all of the crops were destroyed and it will take significant effort to work the soil back into useable farmland. The town of Dilshad was heavily damaged and it is still unsure as to how many civilian casualties there are. Many wounded civilians were taken to coalition forces in Dilshad, but because of the immense casualties taken by coalition forces, medical support to the civilian population was not immediatly available. Significant damage was done to nearly every building in Dilshad as well, including the palace and mosque area. The Reshmaan goverment is blaming coalition forces for using high explosives against the civilian population and are denying any use of indirect fire.

Coalition forces, using information gained from the initial attack on Dilshad attacked and extracted political prisoners from the Secret Police headquarters near I'timad. The US Ambassador, two aides, and a CIA agent were successfully extracted, all with minor wounds. The defending forces consisted of both Reshmaan militia from the actual town of I'timad, as well as a uniformed military unit not yet encountered. They seemed to have a higher level of training and were using M16A2s with M203s. A brief search of the headquarters showed no useful intelligence and no other hostages. After extracting prisoners and ground forces, the palace compound was bombed and destroyed.

Coalition forces also struck the northeastern military complex. Resistance was very light and most enemy forces attempted to escape in trucks when coalition forces showed up. All but one truck was destroyed. The compound was searched and no useable intelligence was found. Many documents were apparently shredded or burned and most equipment at the base had been recently moved or destroyed. The only known truck to escape was headed south.

Enemy Loses:
~ 230 infantry (RNA)
~ 2 HINDs (RNA)

~20 infantry (Assumed RNA)
~60 infantry (RM)

~30 infantry (RNA)
~4 Open Trucks (RNA)

~5 SAM sites
~2 AAA sites

Friendly Losses:
1 Apache Destroyed (3rdID)
1 Cobra Destroyed (15thMEU)

1 Apache damaged. Recovered in field (6thAB)

British Infantry Platoon (-) KIA
FORECON team (-) KIA

1 US Marine KIA
8 US Marines WIA
2 US Soldier WIA

Notes:
Political prisoners are rescued.
Secret Police Headquarters is destroyed.
3rd Infantry Division reinforces and relieves 6th Airborne Division and FORECON in Dilshad.
6th Airborne Division and FORECON resting at northern airfield.
Northeastern miliary complex seized and immediate area secured.

Enemy Orders - Recovered 23FEB13 "Day 3" at Secret Police Headquarters

SIGINT intercepted at the secret police headquarters orders all remaining militia units to disperse into the populace. Their orders are to develop squad sized forces and disperse to different towns and recruit more able bodied men to fight an insurgency. Target military targets that are lightly defended and avoid stand up fights when possible. A single infantry platoon is dispersing into the populace as well to establish an insurgent training ground and to recruit able bodied men to fight an insurgency.

“Day 4”

Results:
Coalition forces took a day to consolidate positions and allow supply and other logistical elements to catch up with the invasion. All units have been resupply and reinforced and are at fll ifghting capacity. Furthermore, morale has improved with the addition of more food an ammunition.

Political prisoners that were rescued on Day 3 have been successfully withdrawn from the country and are en route back to the United States.

Enemy movements were mostly unknown although limited SIGINT comfirmed that insurgant activity is begining in south west Reshmaan as well as confirming that there are mechanized and armored elements operating at the southern airfield and military installation. These armored assets still represent a significant threat to the security of the Reshmaan-Afganistan border. If these insurgancy is put down while still in its infancy, and the military assets to the south east are destroyed, coalition forces may be able to withdraw from the country in under a week.

Enemy Loses:
None

Friendly Losses:
None

Notes:
All coalition forces have been reinforced and resupplied.
Insurgency is starting up in SW Reshmaan.
Confirmed mechanized and armored assets in SE Reshmaan.

“Day 5”

Results:
Coalition forces struck a major victory in the southeastern corner of Reshmaan Province. The last known RNA strong point was captured at the loss of over a company of RNA infantry. The southern air field was also captured in the same attack and all landing strips in the country are in coalition control.

In southwest Reshmaan, the recruiting efforts of an insurgancy were stopped by coalition patrols in the area. Many insurgents working in built up areas were killed before any real effect was made in recruitment. The lack of damage to civilian structures with the exception of Dilshad has been a significant factor in the reluctance of Reshmaan nationals to take up arms against the coalition forces.

After a series of major defeats and setbacks, the Reshmaan government has officially surrendered unconditionally to coalition forces and follow on forces have began disarming the few remaining RNA forces and all militia units that have survived the coalition onslaught.

Initial invading forces have been phased out and are headed back to their initial AORs in Afghanistan or are packing up and heading home after a brief deployment to Reshmaan.

Enemy Loses:
10x UH-1H
4x Albatross
30x Insurgents (mixed uniforms and civilian garb)
200x RNA infantry
8x T72
10x BTR60

Friendly Losses:
1x Harrier
~5x Wounding infantry
